Which search engines does FlashIndex support?
Google and Bing. You can submit URLs for indexing and check whether they are indexed on either engine, from the same account and with the same credits. Bing's index also feeds Yahoo and DuckDuckGo results.
How is FlashIndex different from Google Search Console or Bing Webmaster Tools?
Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools work site by site, with per-site submission quotas and manual steps. FlashIndex runs its own high-performance indexing network: paste or import thousands of URLs from any of your sites, send them to Google or Bing in one go or on a drip-feed schedule, then check what actually got indexed.
What is a credit and what does each action cost?
Indexing a URL costs 1 credit on Google and 10 credits on Bing. Checking whether a URL is indexed costs 0.2 credits per URL on either engine, with the total rounded up to the next whole credit. Credits never expire.
What does the "Check Index" feature do?
It tells you whether each of your URLs is currently indexed on Google or on Bing. Use it to audit existing content, confirm new pages are live, or spot pages that need to be resubmitted.
How fast will my pages be indexed?
Your URLs enter our indexing network within seconds of submission. Google and Bing then typically process them within minutes to a few hours. Each search engine decides what it indexes and when, so no one can guarantee a timing - which is why you can run an index check afterwards to see exactly which pages made it in.
What happens if a submission fails?
If a submission or index check fails because of a service error or temporary outage, the credits are returned to your account automatically. The project shows the failure in your dashboard and you can retry at no extra cost.
Do credits expire?
No. Credits from one-time packs never expire, and credits from a monthly plan are added to your balance each month and roll over too. You keep everything you have not used, even if you cancel your subscription.
Can I use the API without a subscription?
Yes. The REST API works with any credit balance, including pay-as-you-go packs. Generate an API key from your dashboard and use /project and /check for Google, or /projectBing and /checkBing for Bing.
Is there a WordPress plugin?
Yes! Our free WordPress plugin is available at wp-instant-indexing.com. Install it on your WordPress site, connect it with your FlashIndex API key, and it will automatically submit new posts and pages to FlashIndex for indexing the moment you publish them.
